With **over 17 years of experience** in event execution and travel, I have dedicated my career to creating **unforgettable celebrations** that blend timeless elegance with seamless planning. My journey in event planning began with corporate events, where I spent **three years orchestrating high-level functions** in Maryland and Washington, D.C. However, it was the challenge of planning my **own wedding in just 25 days during COVID** that reignited my passion for weddings. That experience, along with my love for designing breathtaking wedding cakes, led me back into the world of wedding planning.

As a **Certified Wedding Planner (CWP Society), Certified Design Consultant, and Certified Timeline Creator and Cake Designer, I bring expertise, creativity, and precision to every event. My signature style is sophisticated, refined, and effortlessly elegant**, ensuring each wedding is a reflection of my clients’ unique love stories. Previously planning under KSI Creative Consulting and KSI Weddings, I am now launching Bleu Lavender Events in June, a brand dedicated to luxury, romance, and exceptional service. For me, wedding planning is more than just curating details—it’s about building genuine connections with couples and bringing their visions to life in the most extraordinary way.

Cake Designer Bio

Owner of KSI Weddings and Lil Signature Cake Co

Cake designer, Kimberly Smith Cooke; loved watching her mom, aunties and grandmothers bake in their homes and fill the air with so many great aromas. She found her love for baking at a young age.

In 2007, as a humanitarian she started Lil Signature Cake Co to provide cupcakes to those less fortunate and to single-mothers to make them feel loved and appreciated. In 2020, her vision for weddings began to take shape and in November of 2021 she launched her wedding brand, KSI Weddings. in January 2024 she will be launching her wedding collections, services and products.

Kimberly is a self-taught baker who loves art, nature, romance and sparkle. She has a degree in psychology, an instructor's license and has acquired certifications in cake design, sugar flower making, interior design, color mixing and more! Although a very unconventional background it has landed her in cake design. There is art in each of the fields she has had training and she has taken each niche to create a new brand.

Her passion for art is shown in her style and her loves. She loves bespoke, all-white decor, texture, flowers and working closely with couples and other professionals in her field and beyond!

Multi- Cultural Stylist and Instructor

Kimberly Smith Cooke is a Creative Consultant from the DMV area. Her life and passions are driven by her love to educate and empower people both personally and professionally. She is the CEO of KSI Creative Consulting formerly Kimberly Smith International; a conglomerate of businesses that bring art, education and design together. She works with individuals, small businesses and corporate companies.

With over 30 years in the beauty industry, she owned a salon for 10 years in Baltimore, Md., and trained inside the largest African American owned franchise: Accent Beauty Salon focusing on rebranding the behind- the -chair experience. Kimberly has worked with celebrities performing hairstyling and make-up and has been favored to style dignitaries such as the Ambassador of Ghana. She was the Director of Education with Design Essentials that included national and international platform

training in places like California, Pennsylvania, Georgia and the Bahamas. These formats taught economic growth and expansion from an entrepreneur’s point of expansion through service and retail goals. She also created trend haircuts in 2007 for Design essentials alongside companies like Pivot Point.

In 2008 she stepped away from being behind the chair to purse educational goals and obtained her Instructors license while working for the Aveda network as an educator and retail manager. She developed a broader corporate perspective of cosmetology training and discovereda new use of her degree in the Arts And Psychology.

After years of being asked when are you returning to beauty, she began to explore her passion to create and launched back into freelance work by working for Amore Colore anparticipating in a Taiwan Fashion Show in historic Washington DC Twin Oaks Mansion and supported a business launch with hairstyling alongside names like TruFace by Grace. Her current endeavors bring beauty, business and spirituality together.
